'Lunch Box' (Theatre Absolute)

Matt Aston resumes collaborative output with the award-winning
theatre company, Theatre Absolute.

'Lunch Box' is a three-day event of eleven short plays by writers
of the Birmingham University Playwrighting Course.

The pieces have all been commissioned for Theatre Absolute's
cutting edge venue, the UK's first Shop Front Theatre.

'Sweeney Todd' / 'Mod Crop' (Lace Market Theatre)

Musical Director Martin Berry's two summer studio productions
this year are 'Sweeney Todd' and 'Mod Crop'.

'Mod Crop' (written by Steve Wallis and Quadrophenia novelist Alan Fletcher)
is being staged prior to a possible London transfer in 2011.

Mountain Film Festival.

Reviews of the second in William Ivory's Southwell trilogy, 'Bomber's Moon'.

Directed by Matt Aston (who also directed the first piece in the trilogy,
'The Retirement of Tom Stevens') and produced by Lakeside Arts Centre
with the Lincoln Performing Arts Centre.

Writer's Lab @ Bolton (2010)

Acclaimed writer of 'The Newspaper Boy' Chris Hoyle joins the 2010 Writer's Lab @ Bolton.

The University of Bolton short listed 16 new North West writers
to come together to test-bed new writing with a team that
includes the BBC and 'Shameless creator Paul Abbott.

Told through the unflinching eyes of an octogenarian misanthrope,
it unravels a war time miracle and a modern day tragedy, to reveal
the true nature of Faith.

Directed by Matt Aston who recently directed 'A Day in the Death of Joe Egg'
(Nottingham Playhouse), starring Mark Benton - the show received 4 star
reviews from both The Guardian and The Telegraph.

Mat Helliker climbing Annapurna 3.

Burton recently worked on 'The Asgard Project', an award-winning
feature film documentary of the Leo Houlding-led expedition to make
the first free ascent of Asgard's North Face.
